Portman Holdings has signed leases and renewals at 230 Peachtree Street totaling more than 35,000 square feet since acquiring the building in April 2014. Lease renewals include Hendrick Phillips Salzman & Flatt, Action Capital Corporation, Atlanta Transportation Systems, Inc. and Fitts & Thomas. New tenants include The Law Office of Tiffany Carter Sellers, LLC, Kip Jones, PC and UniverSoul Circus.
Director of Leasing Travis Garland represented Portman Holdings in the negotiations and brokers involved include Brown Edwards & Associates, T Dallas Smith & Co and Joel & Granot.
“I want to thank the great brokers with whom we have been working to finalize these leases,” said Garland. “They’ve been fantastic to work with and we’re pleased to have these tenants committed to this exciting adaptive reuse project. We still have more leasing work to complete, but this is a good start to what will be a very unique product for downtown Atlanta.”
When Portman Holdings purchased the building in Q2 2014, the 414,768-sq.-ft building was only 40 percent occupied. The real estate company is currently moving all tenants to floors 10 through 27 to prepare floors two through nine for conversion to a 200-key Hotel Indigo® hotel.
The renovation is scheduled for completion in late 2015. Once complete, the building will house the only hotel in downtown Atlanta that is directly above a MARTA station, providing access to some of the city’s best attractions, convention locations, business districts and more.
