A Landmark Legacy, Reimagined

Hal’s “The Steakhouse” to Bring New Life to the Historic Patterson House at Spring Quarter

We’re excited to announce that Hal’s “The Steakhouse” has been selected to reimagine the historic Patterson House at Spring Quarter, Portman’s mixed-use destination in Midtown Atlanta. The iconic Atlanta restaurant will open its newest concept at the Patterson in early 2028, featuring its celebrated dining experience alongside a European-inspired café and a second-floor fine art gallery.

Originally designed by renowned architect Philip T. Shutze in 1928, the 24,000-square-foot Patterson House serves as the heart of Spring Quarter. Surrounded by lush gardens, the landmark building has been thoughtfully preserved as part of Portman’s vision for the district.

Through its restaurant, café, and gallery, Hal’s will bring renewed energy and daily activation to the Patterson while honoring the character and architectural significance that make the property such a cherished part of Atlanta’s history
