Mike Greene

Mike Greene serves as Managing Director of Mixed-Use Development at Portman Holdings, where he leads the sourcing, planning, and execution of complex mixed-use development projects across the firm’s portfolio. Mike brings more than two decades of experience in real estate development, construction, finance, and acquisitions, with deep expertise in multifamily, hospitality, office, and mixed-use projects.

Prior to joining Portman Holdings, Mike was with Mill Creek Residential, where he oversaw the development process from entitlements and design through delivery while identifying new development opportunities throughout the Southeast. Earlier in his career, he held development leadership roles with Novare Group, focusing on the execution of high-rise mixed-use communities across the region. Mike previously served at Portman as a Development Manager, where he specialized in underwriting and analysis for hotel and office developments nationwide.

Mike began his career in real estate sales before joining Turner Construction Company, where he managed large-scale institutional projects as a Project Manager and Superintendent. Throughout his career, he has led the development of more than 1,900 residential units across the Southeast and Texas, representing approximately $490 million in development costs.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate from the University of Georgia, a Master of Science in Building Construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Emory University. Mike is a LEED Accredited Professional and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), combining technical development expertise with a strong foundation in finance and investment strategy.
