This past weekend, the Portman Service League was proud to support the 1st Annual Burgers & Backpacks Giveaway at Cook Park, hosted by The Alliance for the Activation of Cook Park.
As part of our continued commitment to community engagement, we expanded our service efforts by donating 75 backpacks filled with school supplies and six laptops to help local students prepare for a successful school year. The event brought together the community for a vibrant Family & Friends Day, featuring free haircuts, food and refreshments, a backpack giveaway, live entertainment and games.
We were honored to collaborate with an incredible group of partners who share our dedication to empowering Atlanta’s youth and supporting thriving, connected neighborhoods: Alliance for Cook Park, HBCU Green Fund, Teens of 2morrow, Westside Future Fund, My Fellow Man, Mayor Andre Dickens, Councilman Michael Bond and Councilman Byron Amos.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact and support students as they head into a new school year.
