We’re excited to welcome Retrograde Coffee to The Starling, Portman’s 359-unit multifamily community in the heart of Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood.
Known for its design-forward spaces and locally focused menu, Retrograde brings its signature vibe to one of Nashville’s most dynamic new destinations. This marks the café’s third location in the city and further enhances the diverse mix of chef-driven and wellness-focused retail on the ground floor of The Starling. Retrograde joins Toastique, Social Cantina, SweatHouz, and more within the building’s 17,000 SF of activated retail space, helping establish The Starling as a true neighborhood hub for residents and visitors alike.
Located along the Cumberland River Greenway and overlooking First Horizon Park, Retrograde is not only the first café to front the Greenway, it also brings something new to the area with a thoughtful menu of locally roasted brews, artisan pastries, house-made sourdough bagels, and freshly prepared sandwiches. With ample outdoor seating and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s poised to become a community favorite.
