Today, Portman Industrial leverages the Portman Holdings’ development platform; further diversifying Portman’s portfolio of over $1B in owned assets and its pipeline of properties currently under development in Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, and Seattle.

Portman Industrial’s primary focus is the development of modern logistics facilities in core markets serving the U.S. supply chain. The company will control well-located sites and develop speculative, build-to-suit, and COLD logistics facilities serving the following markets:
Regional, multi-market logistics facilities in key transportation corridors serving major population centers
Port-centric developments with a focus on gateway markets and strategic inland intermodals in key freight lanes serving the U.S. supply chain
E-Commerce centers including regional, metro and last-mile facilities critical to the commerce ecosystem of our clients
Portman COLD temperature-controlled facilities for national food and beverage clients; including public warehouses and built-to-suit facilities

Mike brings more than 34 years of proven success in national-level real estate development, investment and finance, and a unique background in national development, capital markets, and asset management to the Portman Industrial team.
Mike has consummated over $2 billion in CRE transactions with a diversity of development and capital markets experience in all asset types of commercial real estate, including: industrial, e-commerce, food & beverage/temperature-controlled warehouses, office, multi-family residential, hotels, retail, single-family track homebuilding, airport parking facilities, and entertainment venues (amphitheaters, casinos). He holds a BS in Finance from Indiana Universities’ Kelly School of Business, and an MBA degree from Eastern Illinois University. Mike also serves as Chairman to NAIOP’s Capital Markets III Forum and is a member of ULI’s Industrial and Office Council.

John brings deep experience in all facets of development, from site selection, entitlements and incentives to design, permitting, construction and leasing of industrial properties nationally. Over nearly 3 decades, John has participated in more than 150 development projects and led over $3 billion of acquisitions.
Prior to joining Portman, John was the Senior Vice President of Leasing and Build-to-Suit Development for the Robinson Weeks Partners, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was responsible for the leasing the Company’s speculative properties in the Southeast and Southwest and led the Company’s build-to-suit projects throughout the US. Previously, John served as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Development for Duke Realty Corporation (NYSE:DRE). For nearly 19 years at Duke, he led the acquisition and development of logistics parks at major U.S. seaports and created expansion into national and global markets for the REIT. John previously served in leading roles with American Executive Developers, LLC., and Pure Development, where he acquired and developed industrial and office assets across the US.
John holds a BA degree from Indiana University and a JD degree from Indiana University School of Law. He is a member of the Georgia and Indiana Bar Associations. John is a regular volunteer at the Atlanta Men’s Homeless Shelter in Downtown Atlanta. He is also on the Board of Directors of Solidarity Sandy Springs Food Pantry.
William H. Anderson
Northeast Development, Portman Industrial
With more than 30 years in the real estate business, Bill brings deep expertise in development, asset management, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, equity and debt financing, and sustainability; all with an emphasis on building and managing successful long-term business relationships.
Bill spent 28 years with Prudential Real Estate Investors (now PGIM). As Executive Director and Principal, his $9-billion+ mixed-asset portfolio with Prudential’s PRISA Fund comprised more than 40 projects generating more than $700 million in annual revenue. Bill led over $2.4 billion of PRISA’s development projects internationally, including “round-tripping” two iconic industrial development JVs totaling $640 million. Bill also managed Prudential’s industrial developments in Mexico, eventually forming Fibra, a Mexican REIT. In addition, he oversaw the acquisition/sale of over $2 billion of assets for the Fund. Previously, Bill was Vice President with Cambridge Properties and Hunt-Bayoud Interest, both in Dallas, TX.
Bill retired in 2016 and launched Hilltop Real Estate Strategies LLC, to offer real estate investment consulting services. HRES has worked with a wide range of clients. and is valued for his expertise in sourcing developments, capital strategies and managing JVs in up and down markets. Bill holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute, and three Master’s degrees: Master of Architecture and Master of City Planning at University of Pennsylvania; and an MBA in Real Estate and Finance at SMU. He is a member of NAIOP and is a registered architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
