About Chapter Buildings

At the Chapter Buildings, workplaces are designed to be connective, comfortable, and focused on health and wellness. Located in Seattle’s innovation-driven U District, this two-tower mixed-use development combines office, life science, and retail space while prioritizing amenity-rich, sustainable, and people-focused design.

The project’s signature feature, The Brooklyn Cut, is a continuous greenspace corridor connecting 12th and Brooklyn Avenues and Buildings I and II. Designed for walk-and-talk meetings or a quick lunch break, the space invites movement and interaction, with multiple gathering areas, bench seating amid lush plantings, and large-volume spaces accented with warm wood walls and integrated lighting. Fronted by building lobbies and retail, The Brooklyn Cut creates a vibrant and welcoming circulation path that enhances connectivity throughout the campus.

Building I offers 247,000 square feet of office space, featuring expansive open floor plates, abundant natural light, and panoramic views. Its exterior blends brick, operable punch windows, and curtain wall accents, while interior amenities include a full gym, locker rooms, bike storage, and service areas.

The Chapter Buildings are designed with sustainability and wellness in mind, targeting LEED Gold and Fitwel certifications. Strategically positioned adjacent to the University of Washington ecosystem, the Light Rail transit system, and I-5, the development offers seamless access to the region’s talent and transportation network. With its thoughtful integration of greenspace, retail, and flexible work environments, the Chapter Buildings provide an inspiring, healthy, and connected workplace experience in the heart of Seattle’s U District.
