Shanghai Centre
Shanghai Centre is composed of three towers and a seven-story podium totaling two million square feet.
The complex opened in 1990, intended to serve the international business community in growing in China at that time. Portman Holdings partnered with AIG and Kajima Corporation to develop this project ““ the first foreign development in China after the country’s market opened up in the 1980s. It includes two serviced apartment towers, a Ritz-Carlton hotel tower, a seven-story office and retail podium, exhibition hall and 1,000-seat theater.
