Phil Carson

Phil Carson serves as Vice President of Residential Development for Georgia, where he is responsible for the full development lifecycle including site acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, financing, and execution through delivery. Phil joined Portman Residential after serving as Managing Director at Mill Creek Residential Trust, where he led the firm’s Georgia development platform.

Prior to Mill Creek, Phil was a Senior Development Associate at Crescent Communities, executing complex multifamily and mixed-use developments across the Atlanta market. He also held roles at Silverpeak Real Estate Partners, focusing on value-add acquisitions across the Southeast, and at J.P. Morgan, advising family offices and corporate executives on investment strategy.

Over the course of his career, Phil has been involved in the development of more than 3,000 multifamily homes representing a total capitalization exceeding $1.2 billion. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University.
