Deeshna Divakaran

As a Senior Development Manager at Portman, Deeshna oversees the end-to-end execution of real estate development projects, guiding them from initial concept through to successful completion. Her portfolio spans a diverse range of asset classes, including commercial, mixed-use, residential, and large-scale master-planned developments, with both domestic and international scope.

With a Master’s degree in Construction Management from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the National Institute of Technology, Deeshna brings a multidisciplinary approach to development, integrating design, technical acumen, and strategic oversight.

Prior to joining Portman, she held pivotal leadership roles at Greystar and Katerra. As Director of Design, Manufacturing, and Construction at Greystar, she was instrumental in shaping the firm’s modular construction strategy. At Katerra, she served as a DMC Executive, contributing to the firm’s mission to redefine building delivery through innovation and industrialized processes. Deeshna’s background reflects a unique blend of architectural insight, construction expertise, and forward-thinking development leadership.
