Alex Barroso

As Executive Vice President – SE of Portman Residential, Alex Barroso is responsible for managing the platform’s development operations, strategy and execution throughout the SE United States. Mr. Barroso joined Portman Residential from Vista Residential Partners where he led the development operations for the Carolinas region.

Prior to joining Vista Residential Partners, Mr. Barroso was the President of Development for Bainbridge Companies in Raleigh, NC leading all development operations throughout the SE United States. Prior to that, Mr. Barroso was the Managing Director for Mill Creek Residential in Florida where he oversaw the development and construction of over 1,700 residential units. During his 28-year career in the development industry, Mr. Barroso has led the development of over 12,000 multifamily homes with a total capitalization of over $3.0 billion.

Mr. Barroso received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University Kelly School of Business. Mr. Barroso is a licensed general contractor in the State of Florida.
