John Farmer serves as a Vice President of Construction for Portman Holdings and is responsible for projects developed in the United States. During his 40 plus years of experience in construction, John has worked on multiple product types; including Sports Stadiums, University Athletic facilities, Higher Education facilities, Historic renovations, Museums, Office Buildings and Large Retail projects. Prior to joining Portman Holdings, John work as Director of Construction for The Beck Group for over 35 years in Atlanta GA.
John is an Atlanta native raised in DeKalb County. During his career, John has had the opportunity to live in several locations including New York City and Washington D.C. He has a degree in Architecture from Southern Technical Institute in Marietta, GA, is a LEED AP, and is a Qualifying Agent for General Contractor’s license in Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina.
