Chaewook currently works with Portman Holdings’ capital markets team and development team. His responsibilities include identifying capital sources globally, financial structuring, project feasibility, concept development, project management and asset management of various projects, including the Songdo Landmark City development in the Incheon Free Economic Zone, South Korea. Before joining Portman Holdings in 2006, Chaewook managed the Asian mortgage division of Sunshine Mortgage Corp. in Atlanta. He has 19 years of real estate experience, including firms such as Jeju Free International City Development Center, Arthur Andersen’s global corporate finance division, and Samsung Corporation. Chaewook holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in city and regional planning from Hanyang University in Seoul, and a Master’s degree in real estate from Cornell University.
