Portman Holdings developed this hotel as part of Shanghai Centre, in partnership with AIG and Kajima Corporation. The Portman Ritz-Carlton is located in the city’s commercial district, and was developed to provide modern amenities for the international business community traveling to Shanghai around the time of its opening in 1990.
