The Oriental Singapore opened in 1987 as part of the Marina Square mixed-use development, which Portman Holdings developed in partnership with a large group of Asian capital sources, including Singapore Land, Shing Kwan Investments, CY Paul, Lim Soe Long, United Overseas Bank and Overseas Union Bank. It includes seven on-site fine dining restaurants, and is integrated with the surrounding mixed-use development (including retail, office, and other hospitality space).
