Roger Zampell
Senior Vice President of Development

As senior vice president of development for Portman Holdings, Roger Zampell identifies and executes new real estate development opportunities with a focus on mixed-use development of hotel, office, residential, and entertainment retail centers.

Since joining Portman in 1983, he has been responsible for the programming, design, construction and development of multiple domestic and international projects. Roger has worked extensively with project owners in Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Japan, and China. He currently directs the company’s domestic development efforts.

Roger’s broad range of experience, from design to project management to business administration, imparts a unique perspective to project development. He holds a B.S. degree in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in architecture from the University of Colorado. He earned an MBA from Emory University. A member of ULI, Roger is also licensed to practice architecture in Georgia and California.
