Martin (Marty) Taxson
Senior Project Director

Marty Taxson possesses a wide range of knowledge and skills stemming from more than 40 years of experience in development, construction and project management. Over the course of his career, Marty has worked on major commercial, hospitality, residential, industrial and military projects in varied locations across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean.

As senior project director for Portman Holdings, Marty is responsible for overall direction on key, large-scale, mixed-use projects. Prior to joining Portman Holdings, Marty was project director for Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI) in Aruba, with overall development responsibility from brown field start to completion of a 450-unit timeshare villa development. Prior to MVCI, Marty worked as a project executive for Bovis International in Kuwait and as operations director of Bovis International’s Russia construction support division in Moscow. Before joining Bovis, Marty worked as group manager for Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Marty attended Cooper Union for the Advancement of Art and Science, where he studied architecture and engineering. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute, the Construction Management Association of America, and the Project Management Institute.
