Warren Snipes
Senior Advisor to the Chairman

Warren Snipes possesses a wide range of knowledge and skills stemming from his 40 years of experience as an architect, construction manager, developer and owner’s representative. His association with the Portman organization began in 1986, and he has held several key management positions with various Portman companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer, and was responsible for overseeing the management of the development firm and execution of all its projects.

As Advisor, Warren interacts with Portman Holdings’ executives and provides counsel on projects across all of the company’s disciplines. In addition to his development experience he served as Executive Vice President of John Portman & Associates from 1991 to 1999 and had full managerial responsibility for the operations of the architectural firm both domestically and abroad. Warren played an instrumental role in the establishment of the Shanghai office, enabling the firm to expand its presence in China.

Prior to joining the Portman organization, Warren worked for the Irvine Company the largest private land owner and developer in California. He was Director of Development for the Commercial Division and was involved in a number of large master plans and mixed use projects.

Warren earned his architectural degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is licensed to practice in both Georgia and California. He also holds an MBA from National University.
