Hubert Shea
Managing Director, China

As the Managing Director of the Shanghai office, Hubert is responsible for development, investment, and management of all Portman Holdings projects in China. He has been leading the redevelopment of Portman’s mixed-use project, Jian Ye Li, located in Shanghai's French Concession district. He has around 20 years of experience in the China real estate market.

Prior to joining Portman Holdings, Hubert was General Manager with Hutchison Whampoa Properties in Shanghai. He was responsible for development, investment, and management of a real estate portfolio worth over $3.5 billion—consisting of Grade A office towers, hotel, serviced apartments, low-density villas, and shopping center projects in Shanghai and other cities in East China.

Hubert holds a B.A. and M.Phil in Western History and Public Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is now pursuing his DBA in University of Newcastle. He is a member of various professional organizations, including Chartered Institute of Housing (UK), Institute of Marketing (HK), and Asia Pacific Marketing Confederation (Singapore).
