John is currently focused on the Portman Real Estate Fund initiative with Senior VP Ambrish Baisiwala. He is implementing this initiative and focused on growing Portman’s Funds platform. Additionally, his focus is on Portman Holdings’ development and investment projects in India. Having spent time working in India, his focus on the subcontinent continues - within the purview of Portman's activities there.

John’s association with Portman Holdings began in 2003, when we worked as an analyst on domestic developments. He left Portman to work with KPMG’s Corporate Finance Group in Mumbai, focusing on mergers and acquisitions as well as raising equity and performing valuation assessments in real estate, aviation and FMCG industries. John has also completed an internship with Goldman Sachs Real Estate Principal Investment Area in Hong Kong.

John is a member of Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group and a co-chair of Year-Up Atlanta, a mentoring program to benefit urban young adults. He graduated cum laude from Harvard University, and earned a master’s degree with honors and distinction from Cardiff University, United Kingdom.
