Richard Jones
Senior Vice President - Asset Management

Richard brings almost 20 years of hospitality leadership experience to Portman. As senior vice president - asset management, he is responsible for the asset management of hospitality investments for Portman Holdings’ clients and for the hotel properties owned by Portman Holdings. Over the course of his career, Richard has had direct involvement in the development, acquisition, operations, or asset management of more than 50 hotel projects in more than 40 markets.

Prior to joining Portman Holdings, Richard was vice president of asset management at Hardin Capital, LLC. In that role he led all aspects of asset management for a $400 million portfolio consisting of upscale hotels, parking and retail operations. Prior to Hardin, Richard was the regional director of operations for Noble Investment Group, and before that, he was vice president of operations at Lodgian. Richard began his career with Marriott International, serving in various operations management roles in the Courtyard and Full Service hotel divisions.

Richard studied economics at Louisiana State University. He is an active member of the Hospitality Asset Management Association and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau.
