Ambrish Baisiwala
Senior Vice President - Development

Ambrish brings diverse experience in business development and general management to his role within Portman Holdings. As senior vice president of development, he provides strategic leadership and oversees the identification and execution of key large scale developments.

Ambrish has previously held various leadership positions in the Middle East, Australia, and India.

Prior to joining Portman, he worked with ALDAR Properties PJSC, most recently with responsibility for the company’s commercial operations including overall strategy, property development, and asset management functions. In this role, he undertook various developments featuring residential, office, retail, hospitality, recreation, educational, medical, and civic uses, totaling more than 270 million square feet and representing in excess of $130 billion in asset value. He was integrally associated with the highly successful $408 million initial public offering of ALDAR, which was oversubscribed 474 times resulting in a total capital raising of $104 billion.

Prior to ALDAR, he was responsible for establishing Greater Union Cinemas in India and the Middle East under the CineStar brand. Earlier in his career, Ambrish held various senior positions with Coopers & Lybrand Consulting and the TATA Group.

Ambrish’s broad geographic and work exposure brings a strong corporate strategy and property development skill set to the Portman Holdings team. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Rajasthan, India, and a MBA from the Melbourne Business School, Australia.
